KUALA LUMPUR, 17 SEPTEMBER 2021 – “Melayu, Cina, India, Serani, Kadazan, Iban… Bersatu Hati!” Itulah bait-bait yang diperbaharui dalam pembikinan semula lagu Khatulistiwa versi baru ini. Ilham yang merupakan penulis lirik utama didalam Pitahati bersama-sama mencapai persetujuan Pak Ito dalam beberapa gubahan pada lirik dan lagu. Sudah menjadi antara lagu kegemaran Pitahati dan Ito, sesi jamming dan rakaman kali ini tidak mengambil masa yang lama dan mereka serasi bekerjasama dengan berbekalkan semangat yang sama yang mana mempunyai impian menyatu padukan masyarakat dengan seni muzik.

Vokalisnya Ilham Nasir berkata “Waktu kita cover sebelum ni pun kita tak nak hilangkan keaslian rasa tu, dan itulah yang paling penting, lagu cover ni kalau banyak perubahan ia akan membuatkan lagu itu akan hilang rasanya yang tersendiri”.

Mengulas lanjut berkenaan lagu yang pernah dipopularkan oleh kumpulan Blues Gang, Ito selaku penyanyi asal lagu tersebut memberitahu, “Pitahati dan saya bersetuju untuk mengubah part Melayu, Cina, India, Serani, Kadazan, Iban, bersatu hati… ia lebih sempurna.” Katanya.

Hari Malaysia dipilih sebagai satu tarikh untuk mempersembahkan rilisan terbaharu hasil kolaborasi dua generasi rock tanah air iaitu Pitahati dan Ito Blues Gang. Lagu Khatulistiwa adalah sebuah lagu dari kugiran lagenda “rock blues” tanah air iaitu Blues Gang yang telahpun dikenali ramai sedari tahun 1983. Lagu yang pernah menjadi kontroversi ini suatu ketika dahulu kini disusun kembali muzik dan liriknya mengikut peredaran masa dan zaman. 

Bermula dengan mengumpulkan playlist lagu-lagu dari kugiran-kugiran tempatan yang menjadi inspirasi karya-karya Pitahati sehingga mereka terdetik untuk menjadikan lagu Blues Gang ini sebagai sebuah lagu “cover” pada persembahan-persembahan mereka.

Tidak terjangka lagu ini masih evergreen yang mana selepas itu sering menjadi permintaan dan bualan peminat-peminat Pitahati sehinggalah mereka mengambil keputusan untuk membuat sebuah video muzik hasil kolaborasi pihak syarikat rakaman Luncai Emas dan Siakap Keli beberapa tahun lalu. Nafas lagu Khatulistiwa ini seperti ada sentuhan majis apabila pada tahun ini sekali lagi diberi peluang untuk dijadikan sebuah lagu tema reunion pelajar-pelajar Sekolah Tengku Abdul Rahman (STAROBW), Ipoh.

Bekas pelajar Sekolah Tengku Abdul Rahman STAROBW, berkata, “Kami memilih lagu Khatulistiwa ni untuk alumni STAROBA 2021 sebagai tema Road Tour OBW yang akan menggegarkan dan berjalan 14 negeri Malaysia, tetapi disebabkan kekangan Covid-19 ini ianya akan ditangguhkan buat sementara waktu,” ujar Nazmir.

Ilyas Jamil yang juga bekas pelajar STAROBW berkata, “Semasa kami sedang memilih lagu ni kita cuba-cuba cari lagu ala-ala “county road” tapi versi Malaysia dan lagu Khatulistiwa ni adalah yang paling tepat.” Katanya.

Pemain gitar pitahati, Hidayat menjelaskan pada mulanya mereka hanya mainkan lagu Khatulistiwa ini bersempena dengan hari Merdeka tetapi mereka tidak menjangka lagu tersebut sering menjadi permintaan dan diminati kebanyakan peminat Pitahati.

Penggambaran yang berkonsepkan santai berinspirasikan tema sebuah kehidupan masyarakat yang berbilang bangsa dan kaum membawa Pitahati, Ito Blues Gang serta team penggambaran Motion Scientist untuk memilih bandaraya Ipoh, perak sebagai lokasi utama. 

Perjalanan yang mengambil masa hampir 3 hari itu membawa mereka ke kawasan-kawasan santai rakyat berbilang kaum seperti di Old Town Ipoh, Concubine Lane, Stesen Keretapi, Pasar Loken, Padang Ipoh, Restoran New Hollywood, Super Kinta, Stesen Bas Medan Kid, dan sempat juga singgah ke Sarang Art Hub, Tanjung Malim. 

Perjalanan ini amat bermakna apabila memperlihatkan dua generasi yang berbeza (Pitahati dan Ito Blues Gang) bekerjasama dengan penuh komitmen. Selain bekerja, Ito juga tidak kering mencurahkan nasihat dan pengalaman kepada semua.

Pengurus Produksi Luncai Emas Sdn Bhd, Keon Omar berkata, “Aku suka melihat lagu-lagu lama diangkat dan diberi nafas baru, dan aku suka tengok anak-anak muda guna cara ini untuk study dan mendekati orang lama, barulah industri akan lebih bervariasi.”  

Dalam pada itu, pengurus Pitahati Rahman Saharddin berpandangan bahawa Pitahati dan Ito Blues Gang adalah sebuah kolaborasi yang amat serasi.

Seluruh penggambaran berlangsung dengan lancar hasil kerjasama teman-teman seperjuangan Ipoh yang lain antaranya Bittersweet, Lokein Ipoh, dan keluarga Sarang Art Hub, Tanjung Malim.

“Saya amat berbesar hati dan berharap lagu versi baru ini boleh memberi semangat buat kali kedua kepada seluruh rakyat Malaysia.” Ujar Ito Blues Gang.

Selain pembuatan lagu Khatulistiwa, Pitahati juga mengambil kesempatan ini menghiasi saluran youtube mereka dengan sesi bual bicara berjudul “Bicara & Susun Kata” juga sesi rakaman belakang tabir dan sesi jamming lagu Khatulistiwa dalam versi baru ini.
