Bermula Januari 2021, Bantuan Sara Hidup akan digantikan dengan Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat. Penggantian ini bertujuan menaikan lagi kadar bantuan yang bakal di terima di samping menambahbaik kategori pendapatan penerima bantuan ekoran dari penularan Covid-19 yang telah pun memberikan kesan terhadap semua pihak terutama golongan B40 dan M40.

Kategori B40 dengan isi rumah berpendapatan bulanan kurang RM2500 dan mempunyai sehingga seorang anak akan menerima bantuan sebanyak RM1200, manakala isi rumah yang mempunyai dua anak atau lebih akan menerima bantuan sebanyak RM1800.

Penambahbaikan kategori isi rumah berpendapatan bulanan antara RM4001 hingga RM5000. Kategori ini akan menerima RM500 bagi yang mempunyai sehingga seorang anak dan bantuan RM750 kepada isi rumah yang mempunyai dua anak atau lebih.

Individu bujang berpendapatan RM2,500 ke bawah pula, akan menerima bantuan RM350 dengan had kelayakkan diturunkan dari umur 40 tahun kepada umur 21 tahun.

Pendaftaran dan pengemaskinian bermula dari 15 Januari 2021 hingga 15 Februari 2021 secara dalam talian https://bpr.hasil.gov.my atau hadir ke cawangan LHDNM, Pusat Khidmat Hasil (PKH) LHDNM atau Pusat Transformasi Bandar (UTC) LHDNM dengan mengisi dan mengemukakan Borang Permohonan BPR.
