KUALA LUMPUR, 21 SEPTEMBER 2021 – Azid Azidee bukanlah pendatang baru dalam dunia seni tanah air. Penyanyi, penulis dan pelakon yang berasal dari Bintangor, Sarawak ini mula menapak dalam industri sebagai seorang penasyid ketika masih bersekolah bersama kumpulan Zayyan yang merupakan anak didik kepada kumpulan nasyid UNIC.
Ketika menuntut di Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) pula, Azid meneruskan minatnya dalam bidang nyanyian dengan menubuhkan kumpulan The PRISM bersama rakan-rakan sekuliah dengan mengetengahkan konsep “poetry acoustic band” dan melahirkan beberapa lagu yang berbentuk puisi. Ada di antara lagu mendapat perhatian Sony Music Malaysia untuk diedarkan dan menjadi OST drama My Coffee Prince arahan Michael Ang terbitan Astro dan ada karya mereka menjadi OST drama Cinta Maya arahan Kyoll Hamzah terbitan RTM di mana Azid turut membintangi drama tersebut sebagai Zahari.
Pada tahun ini, Azid Azidee memberanikan diri untuk mempertaruhkan karya solo pertamanya yang berjudul MEMILIHMU.
Memilihmu merupakan lagu ciptaan sepenuhnya oleh Azid dan muziknya telah disusun oleh komposer baru, Abi Huroiroh yang merupakan sahabat baiknya serta sentuhan piano Bakhtiar Baharin. Single solo pertama Azid ini merupakan hadiah buat isterinya sempena ulang tahun perkahwinan.
“Sejujurnya lagu ini merupakan lagu paling ikhlas yang pernah saya tuliskan seumur hidup saya kerana saya dan isteri bercinta selepas berkahwin dan melihat dia (isteri) menerima setiap sisi baik buruk, jatuh bangun saya membuatkan saya lebih mendalami cinta kami dan saya nukilkan sebagai sebuah lagu”. Ujar Azid.
Jelasnya lagi, korus lagu itu telah pun ditulis di hari perkahwinan namun belum bersedia untuk dipersembahkan buat isteri pada ketika itu dan siri-siri rumahtangga mereka selepas itu yang menginspirasikan sehingga lengkap lagu Memilihmu itu.
“Lirik video Memilihmu adalah rakaman detik-detik pahit manis saya dan isteri. Dan apabila dipertontonkan buat isteri, sebak melihat isteri tersenyum dan mengalirkan airmata. Saya harap Allah pelihara perkahwinan kami hingga ke syurga-Nya”. Katanya.
Azid berharap percubaan pertama dalam membina nama dengan karya ini diterima baik oleh penggemar muzik tempatan sekaligus memeriahkan lagi industri muzik tanah air dalam masa-masa sukar seperti ini.
Lagu Memilihmu ini akan berada di semua saluran muzik digital seperti Spotify, Apple Music, KKBox, Deezer, JOOZ dan iTunes tidak lama lagi manakala lirik video Memilihmu sudah boleh ditonton di laman Youtube.
