Ditubuhkan pada 2012, kumpulan yang memperjuangkan genre ‘fusion rock’ itu berpuas hati dengan kerjaya muzik mereka, namun enggan menghadkan pergerakan di gelanggang indie atau bebas semata-mata.

Walaupun hampir sedekat SAJA bertapak dalam industri, kelibat nama SAJA masih lagi suram jika dibanding dengan band-band yang seangkatan dengannya. Menurut Akmal selaku pemain gitar irama kumpulan tersebut “kami menubuhkan SAJA disebabkan minat yang mendalam terhadap seni muzik yang mana di sinilah tempat untuk kami mencurahkan karya kami untuk dinikmati bersama”. Ujar beliau.

Ditanya mengenai projek terbaru SAJA, mereka baharu selesai merakam single yang berjudul ‘Bila Kau Tiada’ yang mana lagu ini dituju khas untuk sahabat mereka yang lebih dikenali sebagai Bob Effendy juga seorang pemain bass dan jurutera bunyi yang telah meninggal dunia baru-baru ini.

“Lagu ‘Bila Kau Tiada’ ini sebenarnya hasil ciptaan saya bersama Bob Effendy sewaktu beliau masih lagi sihat dan ciptaan lagu ini terhenti disebabkan beliau jatuh sakit, tetapi apakan daya Allah lebih menyayangi beliau dan beliau pergi buat selamanya. Atas dorongan rakan-rakan, saya kuatkan semangat untuk menyiapkan lagu ini dan Alhamdulillah, akhirnya lagu ini berjaya disiapkan bersama video muzik rasmi”. Jelas Akmal sewaktu ditemui media.
