Video muzik dihasilkan dalam bentuk animasi 2D dan 3D mengambil masa 3 bulan untuk disiapkan

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 OGOS 2021 – Semarak dunia hip hop tempatan terus berkembang dan terbaharu, tiga orang bintang rap yang kian meningkat naik di bawah payung Def Jam Malaysia iaitu Yonnyboii, ZynAkal dan ASYRAF NASIR bergabung untuk menghasilkan sebuah karya luar biasa berjudul TAK SANGKA.

Dicipta dan ditulis sepenuhnya oleh ketiga-tiga anak muda ini, TAK SANGKA juga disusun dan diterbitkan bersama SeaTravel di samping Yonnyboii sendiri.

Seperti judulnya, TAK SANGKA menggambarkan perasaan di mana mereka tidak menyangka yang mereka mampu lakukan apa yang sedang mereka kerjakan sekarang, khasnya di bidang muzik. Ini juga merujuk kepada proses mengejar impian mereka tanpa ragu dan tidak menyangka bahawa orang yang pernah terlepas pandang akan kemampuan mereka kini baru menyedari kebolehan yang mereka punyai. 

“Saya rasa lagu ini sangat menarik dan saya tak pernah buat lagu sebegini. Lirik yang saya tulis diilhamkan dari sikap manusia sekarang yang suka bermuka-muka, jadi saya ekspresikan dalam lagu. Saya harap semua orang boleh memahami konsep yang kami paparkan ini selain menerima kolabrasi kami bertiga,” jelas ZynAkal.

Turut berkongsi pandangan yang sama adalah rakan seperjuangannya ASYRAF NASIR.

“Lagu ni segar dan muziknya sangat lantang meraih perhatian atau “in-your-face”. Ditambah pula dengan karakter masing-masing dalam lagu ini yang juga agak kuat, membuat dentuman jantung berdebar dan rasa teruja seolah ingin melompat setinggi-tinggi yang boleh. Lagu ini ada pendirian tegas, jadi jika ingin menyuarakan sesuatu dengan lantang, inilah lagunya,” kata Asyraf. 

Yonnyboii, ZynAkal dan ASYRAF NASIR

“Pada awalnya kami hanya bermain dengan idea untuk menghasilkan lagu yang berunsur K-Pop namun selepas pembukaan daripada Zyn dan pengembangan idea oleh Asyraf berserta dengan pembabitan saya sendiri, terhasillah versi akhir ‘TAK SANGKA’ yang hebat ini, tanpa kami jangka. Pengalaman bekerjasama dengan mereka berdua sangat menakjubkan dan kami harap lagu ini boleh mencapai satu juta tontonan di laman YouTube,” ulas Yonnyboii tentang projek terbaru Def Jam Malaysia ini.

Dihasilkan tahun lalu, penciptaan lagu ini dimulakan oleh ZynAkal yang telah membuka rangkap pertama dan menetapkan nada karya ini. Kata-kata yang dikeluarkan secara spontan menggambarkan ketulenan liriknya dan ia kemudian dikembangkan dengan korus ciptaan Yonnyboii. Ini kemudian dicantikkan lagi oleh Asyraf lewat bahagiannya yang dirakam pada cubaan pertama serta-merta.  Proses penulisan hingga ke rakaman lagu ini mengambil masa sekitar lima jam keseluruhan. 

Seperti kebanyakan lagu di bawah Def Jam Malaysia, TAK SANGKA turut menampilkan sebuah video muzik istimewa berkonsep animasi yang sesuai dengan keadaan masa kini. Ia menampilkan versi animasi ketiga-tiga penyanyi ini dan diarahkan oleh Thaqif Saadon serta dibantu olah Hakeem Roshdi. Video muzik tersebut telah diterbitkan oleh Atypical Visual dan Studio Firepulse dengan arahan seni oleh Imran Mansur bersama Sabrina Sofiadin sebagai pereka grafik.

“Apa yang membezakan klip video ini adalah kami dapat lebih bereksperimen dalam ‘dunia video muzik’ tersebut. Ini kerana tangkapan yang dilakukan hanya dapat dicapai dalam proses animasi 3D dan 2D. Malah ia mengambil masa kami selama 3 bulan untuk disiapkan.

Malah saya bersama pembantu pengarah, pengarah seni dan juga penata gaya set kami Amirul Najihan bermula dengan memahami watak serta personaliti setiap artis dalam lagu ini. Hubungan persahabatan mereka bertiga juga memainkan peranan yang besar dalam jalan cerita. Dan keutamaan kami adalah untuk menghasilkan sesuatu yang segar dan eksperimental.”

“Lebih menarik kami bekerja secara dalam talian sepenuhnya bersama kru dan artis terbabit. Ini termasuk saat hendak mendapatkan rujukan rakaman daripada Yonny, Asyraf, dan Zyn demi menghasilkan ekspresi muka, gerakan bibir serta lakonan yang asli dari mereka sendiri. Semua komunikasi dilakukan lewat Discord dan panggilan Whatsapp. Banyak babak lakonan, dan pergerakan kamera yang agak terhad melalui panggilan video, namun mereka masih mampu menyampaikan tenaga dan mainan watak dengan sempurna,” jelas Thaqif Saadon selaku pengarah.

TAK SANGKA boleh distrim di semua platform digital seperti Spotify, Apple Music, Joox, KKBOX, Deezer dan YouTube Music pada 20 Ogos 2021 jam 12 tengah malam manakala video muzik rasminya telah dimuatnaik di laman YouTube Yonnyboii jam 10 malam, pada hari yang sama.
