TANJUNG MALIM 7 Mei 2021 – Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) hari ini menguruskan penghantaran mahasiswa ke kampung halaman masing-masing selepas Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi mengumumkan kebenaran pergerakan pulang pelajar Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi (IPT) sempena cuti perayaan Aidilfitri bermula hari ini hingga 12 Mei.
Menurut Timbalan Naib Canselor Hal Ehwal Pelajar, Prof Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff berkata seramai lebih 101 orang pelajar yang terlibat dihantar pulang menggunakan pengangkutan milik universiti seperti bas persiaran, van dan coaster di 32 lokasi ‘drop point’ pelbagai daerah wilayah semenanjung pada hari ini.
“Pihak universiti amat cakna terhadap keperluan pelajar dengan menyediakan prasarana pengangkutan yang lengkap diselenggara serta disanitasi dengan sempurna sebelum digunakan. Walaupun dalam masa yang singkat, urusan penghantaran dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik yang mendapat penglibatan pelbagai jabatan Universiti seperti Pusat Kesihatan UPSI, Majlis Mahasiswa Kolej, Majlis Pengetua, Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP), Seketeriat Sukarelawan Siswa (SSS) serta diselia urus Bahagian Keselamatan, Bahagian Pengurusan Risiko dan Keselamatan (ROSH) dan Bahagian Hal Ehwal Pelajar & Alumni (BHEP),” jelasnya dalam kenyataan.
Terdahulu pada pukul 2 pagi seramai 5 orang pelajar yang tinggal di wilayah Sabah, telah dihantar pulang menggunakan perkhidmatan penerbangan awam di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA & KLIA 2) dengan kenderaan universiti.
“Baki kira-kira 11 orang pelajar yang tinggal di wilayah Sabah akan dihantar secara berperingkat dengan menggunakan perkhidmatan penerbangan awam dijadual selesai sehingga 12 Mei ini,” tambah beliau lagi.
Menurut Ketua Timbalan Pendaftar (BHEP) , Zarina Mohd Yaacob ketika ditemui berkata setiap pelajar-pelajar diberi taklimat oleh petugas barisan hadapan universiti tanpa mengabaikan SOP sehingga kumpulan pelajar ini tiba ke destinasi.
“Setiap pelajar telah diberi taklimat SOP dan diingatkan untuk memakai pelitup muka, sentiasa memakai kad pelajar serta bersedia dengan surat kebenaran rentas negeri dan dibekalkan cecair pembasmi kuman. Urusetia MPP turut menjalankan kempen ‘Elak 3 S’ iaitu Sesak, Sembang Dekat dan Sempit kepada pelajar-pelajar yang terlibat untuk mengekang,” tambahnya.
