KUALA LUMPUR, 23 DISEMBER 2020 – Nama Abubakarxli (Abu Bakar Ali) mungkin masih baru dalam industri hiburan tanahair, tetapi dalam arena hip-hop tempatan khususnya generasi millennials yang dahagakan karya relevan lagi segar, Abubakarxli menjadi buah mulut bahawa beliau bakal menjadi peneraju masa depan genre muzik popular ini. Kemampuan luar biasa anak muda baru berumur 24 tahun ini disebut-sebut sebagai MVP (Most Valuable Player)penyanyi rap era baru, telah terbukti apabila hari ini tampil dengan rilisan bermutu terbaru, album E.P. berjudul EXACXLI terbitan Universal Music Malaysia dan Def Jam Malaysia.  

Mengandungi enam buah lagu yang cukup bertenaga, keseluruhan lagu dalam album E.P. ini adalah hasil buah tangan sulungnya bersama Def Jam. Album E.P. Memiliki bakat serba boleh, kemampuan rapper yang berasal dari Ipoh, Perak ini mendapat kebebasan daripada syarikat rakamannya menerbitkan album E.P. sendiri dengan sentuhan komposer muda hebat Exactesy.

 “Syukur Alhamdulillah, setelah hasil kerja keras, bersengkang mata dan memerah keringat dalam studio akhirnya, hari ini karya terbaru saya album E.P. EXACXLI berjaya diterbitkan untuk peminat-peminat hip-hop tanahair dan genre seumpama ini,” jelasnya ketika ditemui.

Mengagumi hasil kerja komposer kreatif seperti Exactesy, komposer berbakat besar yang juga sahabatnya, Abubakarxli menyatakan dia tidak mengambil masa yang lama untuk menghasilkan karya-karya hebat dalam album E.P. EXACXLI.

“Saya gembira dapat bergandingan dengan Exactesy, seorang komposer muda yang mempunyai banyak ilham-ilham bernas dan segar ketika menghasilkan karya. Exactesy  menepati keinginan saya untuk menerbitkan setiap lagu yang ada dalam EXACXLI mengikut jenis ritma dan irama bertepatan dalam konsep album E.P. ini,” tambahnya lagi. Kesefahaman yang telah lama dibina secara tidak langsung memberi garapan hasil berkualiti dari segi audio, rentak irama, lirikal dan aspek-aspek lain menepati kehendaknya.

Rakam karya ketika pandemik

 “Sebenarnya ada di antara lagu dalam album E.P. EXACXLI telah saya karang lebih empat tahun lalu, sehinggalah saya mengambil keputusan untuk merakamnya semula ke dalam studio ketika seluruh negara berada dalam situasi dilanda pandemik yang nampaknya masih belum berkesudahan,” 

Lagu Balik Kampung misalnya, salah sebuah karya yang Abubakarxli hasilkan sebagai salah satu motivasi untuknya bekerja keras lantaran dirinya telah membuat keputusan untuk terus berjuang sebagai anak seni. 

“Tidak kiralah apa juga rintangan yang ada di hadapan. Saya kata pada diri saya ketika itu berada sendirian semasa perintah kawalan pergerakan, ‘kalau nak buat benda ni, buat betul-betul, kalau tak tahan boleh Balik Kampung,’” jelasnya sambil tersenyum. 

Selain Balik Kampung, terdapat lima buah lagu lain seperti ‘Terbang’ (featuring Airliftz & Zet Legacy), ‘Ada Orang’ (featuring Sxph & Pele.L), ‘Rehat’,  ‘Jangan Marah’ (featuring Touche & NOTAIZAT) dan ‘Selesai’ (featuring Danye) turut dimuatkan dalam album E.P. ini. Setiap satu karyanya disusun dengan kemas dan terperinci untuk memastikan kepuasan dapat disajikan kepada para peminatnya.

“Uniknya, saya dapat merakamkan kebanyakan lagu-lagu dalam album E.P. ini bersama rakan-rakan yang cukup rapat dengan saya. Mereka ini merupakan sahabat-sahabat yang banyak memberi inspirasi kehadiran saya dalam industri baik di arus perdana mahupun bawah tanah. Ya, album E.P. ini cukup istimewa dan mempunyai nilai sentimental yang cukup tinggi dan bersifat peribadi kerana kesemua artis jemputan yang turut serta dalam setiap lagu adalah ibarat keluarga pada saya,” jelasnya tanpa berselindung.

Abubakarxli menyatakan dia tidak mengambil masa yang lama untuk menghasilkan karya-karya hebat dalam album E.P. EXACXLI

Tambahnya lagi, semasa proses rakaman berlangsung setiap artis bekerja secara atas talian di studio masing-masing dan kesemuanya mengamalkan etika Work From Home (bekerja dari rumah) seperti disarankan oleh kerajaan. Tanpa sebarang pertemuan secara fizikal dan penyesuaian dalam norma baharu, walaupun sedikit janggal namun langsung tidak menjejaskan mereka menghasilkan karya yang amat bermutu.

“Tidak hairan album E.P. EXACXLI ini dapat disiapkan dalam tempoh selama empat minggu sahaja. Suatu komitmen dan pencapaian luar biasa buat kami semua menghadapi suasana agak sukar ini,” ceritanya lagi. 

Rehat dedikasi kerja keras untuk ibu

Dikenali sebagai seorang penyanyi rap dengan gaya penyampaian bersahaja, kekuatan Abubakarxli terserlah ketika nyanyian lenggok melodinya. Lagu-lagunya cukup enak didengar dan mampu membuat siapa saja jatuh hati.

Lagu Rehat misalnya, mempunyai struktur melodi cukup santai menceritakan keinginan diri memuaskan hati insan rapat dengannya seperti ibu yang cukup dikasihinya. Menampilkan rentak g-funk dengan unsur-unsur instrumen talkbox yang begitu ketara, tidak mustahil ‘Rehat’ bakal menjadi lagu hits siulan buat sesiapa saja yang gemarkan mood santai hip-hop  klasik dalam prosa moden cara Abubakarxli. Kesemua lagu-lagu dalam album E.P. ini digarap atas denyut nadi yang berlatarkan kehidupannya seharian.

“Apa yang saya boleh katakan, sungguhpun album E.P. ini merupakan karya ringkas diterbitkan sebelum kehadiran album penuh, nilai estetika yang tinggi telah saya garap mengambil kisah hidup dan lontaran rasa saya yang dalam. Lagu Terbang merupakan inspirasi kisah perjalanan saya bersama-sama keluarga besar Def Jam ketika pelancaran Def Jam Asia Tenggara di Singapura tidak lama dahulu,” ujarnya lagi bersahaja. 

 “Lagu Ada Orang pula garapan tentang kisah saya yang dikelilingi orang yang saya sayang seperti keluarga saya. Misalnya jika orang lihat saya keluar makan sebenarnya ada orang yang sedang tunggu saya di rumah, ada orang yang sedang mendoakan saya dan sebagainya,” jelasnya dengan panjang lebar. 

Berada dalam fasa yang lapar pada cabaran dan dahagakan kejayaan, menjadi titik tolak mengapa penyanyi rap muda ini bersungguh-sungguh menghasilkan album E.P. ini dengan cukup teliti. Abubakarxli juga berharap khalayak di luar sana akan terus menyokong karya terbarunya ini.
