KUALA LUMPUR, 27 OKTOBER 2021 – Nama penyanyi Red Rahimad mungkin masih asing dalam kalangan peminat dan pencinta muzik tanah air. Namun, itu bukan penghalang buat anak muda berusia 21 tahun ini untuk terus mengorak langkah dalam bidang diceburi.

Selepas melancarkan single Cahaya pada sambutan Ramadan lalu, terbaharu Red Rahimad muncul dengan single kedua di bawah syarikat rakaman COF Music iaitu Celup dan sekali lagi berkolaborasi bersama penyanyi Ezad Lazim.

Red Rahimad yang juga pencipta sepenuhnya lagu Celup berkata, dia bertuah kerana Ezad menerima tawaran berkenaan selain menyifatkan kolaborasi mereka sebagai satu rezeki.

“Saya dapat berikan kepercayaan pada Abang Ezad untuk ‘featuring’ bersama dalam lagu ini. 

“Sebab saya tahu suara Abang Ezad sedap. Lagi pula kami pernah bekerja sekali dalam lagu yang saya tulis sendiri iaitu Cahaya yang dilancarkan pada Ramadan lalu.”

“Ketika itu saya berborak mengenai lagu Celup ini. Saya dengar dia bawa ‘live’ depan saya, terus jatuh hati dengan suara dia. Jadi saya minta dia bekerjasama dalam lagu ini,” katanya.

Menurut Red Rahimad tidak timbul soal Ezad lebih menyerlah berbanding dirinya kerana masing-masing ada pembahagian dalam lagu Celup itu.

“Bagi saya, kalau berkolaborasi dengan sesiapa pun pasti akan berasa macam ini. Sebab mesti orang nak dengar mereka kan? Kita nak ‘feat’ dengan mana-mana penyanyi mestilah mereka pun ada latar belakang dan ada peminat tersendiri.”

“Bagi saya dapat berkolaborasi dengan Abang Ezad adalah rezeki. Ini adalah kolaborasi kedua kami. Jadi, jika rezeki nak datang, kalau kata ‘overshadow’ mungkin dari situ ia berubah kepada peminat akan tertanya-tanya siapa Red Rahimad ni? Kenapa Ezad Lazim nak kolabrasi dengan dia? Dari situ mereka akan buat semakan siapa komposer, penulis lirik. Kalau bagus, baguslah. Kalau ada kekurangan mereka boleh tegur.”

“Suara dan kritikan netizen pun kadang membantu dari segi proses menambahbaik dalam penghasilan lagu selepas ini. Tapi dalam lagu ini saya ada juga letak strategi yang mana orang pun nak dengar bahagian saya selain Abang Ezad saja,” katanya.

Ezad Lazim dan Red Rahimad

Berkongsi lanjut mengenai lagu Celup, menurut Red Rahimad ia sudah disiapkan sejak Januari tahun lalu. Ini bermakna dia mengambil masa lebih setahun untuk dilancarkan.

“Lagu ini saya rakam demo sendiri sebelum bergabung dengan COF Music iaitu pada penghujung Januari tahun lalu. Lagu ini tidak ditulis semula. Proses rakaman pula dibuat selepas sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri baru-baru ini. Kiranya lebih setahun juga lagu ini disimpan sebelum dapat dilancarkan.”

“Saya dan Abang Ezad buat rakaman asing. Apabila tiba giliran Abang Ezad, saya ada di situ sebab saya nak pastikan melodi masih kekal sama. Sebab bagi saya melodi asal sudah sedap. Alhamdulillah, Abang Ezad dapat bawa dengan baik,” katanya.

Mengenai lagu Celup itu, Red Rahimad berkata dia mengetengahkan rentak ‘old school’ yang mana turut memberi sentuhan irama muzik Melayu lama pada bahagian korus.

“Celup ini maksudnya tiruan atau palsu. Mengenai isi lagu ini ia mengisahkan seseorang samada lelaki atau wanita yang memiliki perwatakan palsu dalam diri mereka. Sebagai contoh dalam berkawan masing-masing nak tunjuk kehidupan mewah semata-mata untuk paparan di media sosial. Dari segi percintaan, seseorang itu menggunakan watak lain untuk menarik minat seseorang. Sedangkan hakikatnya dia berbeza pun.”

“Ini yang saya fikir sewaktu menulis lagu dan lirik ini. Ia juga tidak ada proses ‘re-write’ atau perubahan lirik langsung sebelum proses rakaman dibuat. Sebab lirik yang digunakan bersahaja saja. Apa yang pasti, cerita penuh lagu ini semuanya mengisahkan mengenai sikap, tingkah laku, perilaku, perbuatan atau apa saja yang boleh dikaitkan dengan palsu, tiruan atau celup.”

“Dalam lagu ini ada juga ada menyentuh beberapa isu yang terjadi sekarang. Misalnya dalam perhubungan, keluarga, alam pekerjaan dan sebagainya. Kiranya ini waktu sesuai saya melancarkan lagu ini.
